Hi, I’m Abbigail Oswalt. I began my healthcare career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), gaining experience across a variety of care settings. My growing interest in wound care led me to earn Wound and Ostomy Certification, which deepened my expertise in patient care.
I developed a passion for hyperbaric medicine and became a member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). Through hands-on training and research, I earned my Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) and Hyperbaric Certified-Safety (HC-S) credentials, focusing on safety protocols and technical operations.
Currently, I serve as the Regional Hyperbaric Safety Director in a hospital-based setting and as Chair of our Outpatient Wound Care Integration Council, where I support initiatives that advance hyperbaric medicine, wound care, and patient safety.
Through Oswalt Hyperbaric Safety Resource, I provide focused, educational safety checklist reviews and practical guidance to hyperbaric teams. My goal is to help programs strengthen daily practices, promote safety, and support continuous improvement—all without replacing formal audits or inspections.
I’m committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, and helping teams operate confidently in hyperbaric care.
